College sports recruiting site to donate 5% of profits to high schools
Fort Worth, Texas – Sept. 4, 2007 – As a strong supporter of education and athletics, Recruit U LLC will give back 5% of its proceeds to high schools across the United States.
Through its website www.recruitu.com, Recruit U helps high school and junior college athletes find the best opportunities at the collegiate level while providing college coaches access to a pool of athletic talent that would have otherwise been impossible to find.
"Recruit U is focused on giving back to the community, that’s why we have adopted our ’Back to Schools’ program," says Mike Popovec, president & CEO of Recruit U. "We want to support the very foundation that produces these ambitious student athletes."
Recruit U will donate 5% of the profit back to the high schools the athlete attended. The 5% program will give schools extra financial support while providing student-athletes a way to generate interest from college programs nationwide. Schools can use the donations however they see fit, focusing not just on athletics, but on academic programs as well.
"As Recruit U grows so will the amount of donations," Popovec says. "Athletes should feel proud to know that by using Recruit U, they will directly benefit their high school."
